I’m obsessed

with this

new music

2020 has been undeniably blessed with some soul-stirring, foot-tapping, head-nodding and heartfelt album releases, and I’m going to tell you which are high-pri in my Apple Music collection

Since January, I’ve been listening to new music from Isaac Carree, Tyler Gifted, Tycho, Alina Baraz, Will Downing, Kierra Sheard, Rick Fusion, Jhené Aiko, Ledisi, The Weeknd, Megan Thee Stallion and so many more.

Putting this list together was challenging due to my eclectic taste in music, but I optimistic you’ll agree with my selections — which are enumerated without rank, and may not included artists mentioned above:

1. Conan Gray - Comfort Crowd

2. Rick Fusion - Moving On

3. Tyler Gifted - Gem-In-I

4. Ledisi - Anything for You

5. DaeShawn Forrest - Came a long Way

6. Troyman - Insomniac

7. Trouble - Thug Luv

8. Deepak Chopra - Spiritual Warrior

9. Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia

10. Kevin Ross - Audacity, Vol. 1

11. Izzy Produx - Native

12. Childish Gambino - 3.15.20

13. Jesus Culture - Church (Vol. 1/Live)

14. Emily King - Sides (Acoustic)

15. Asher Roth - Flowers On the Weekend

Final Thoughts:

What I like most about these projects is their ability to move me spiritually, emotionally and of course, physically - I like to feel the energy put into the production.

My sonic taste is satiated when I listen to music from Leela James, Anthony Evans, Ledisi, Alina Baraz, J. Moss, and Will Downing. And, having the same strong pull is hip-hop music by Megan Thee Stallion, Janelle Monaé, Tyler Gifted, Logic, and Jidenna.
