I
In another one of my virtual coffee chats via recorded conversations I sat down with Cherie Johnson. She has a certain hospitality that makes you feel like your chatting with a homegirl.
Cherie has spent close to three decades in this business or literally her whole life in front of the camera. When not in front of the camera she is a certified nutritionist and part owner in a spa. She also is the author of several children’s books. You can check out her bio for a full list of credits.
We touched on a lot of subjects including her 30, yes 30 goals for this year! She is an editor of a magazine and hosts her own Podcast “Cherie’s World Podcast” along with her blog “Advice for My Sistas”. She has come full circle from her role in Punky Brewster at the age of 6. The series has been brought back and she has a starring role right alongside with series principle Soleil Moon Frye.
We spoke about her love hate relationship with Social Media. It’s a great way to keep in touch with your followers. However, things like the death of her long- time friend Kobe Bryant highlight the dehumanization of social media.
