Dr. Rebecca Dupas

Dr. Rebecca Dupas, a Louisiana native, is an educator and recent doctoral graduate. Her professional and educational experiences have been rooted in instruction, workshop facilitation, training design, and educational and professional development for youth and adult learners. Her dissertation, "White Teachers in Urban Schools", explored the contributions of preservice diversity training and increased her own abilities in (1) addressing the needs of diverse learners, and (2) supporting the development of those responsible for their learning. 

 

Rebecca is also an author photographer, 'artrepreneur’ and award-winning poet whose writing, performance, and contribution to the poetry community has been recognized in Philadelphia, Baltimore and beyond. Rebecca is the founder and former host of several open mic events in the Baltimore and DC area. She now enjoys writing, performance, production, and commissioned composition. Rebecca has published four CDs, two books of original poetry and a children's book. Her books "Not Without Black Women" and "Mario Goes to the Museum are available at rebeccadupas.com.
