   Indeed hard work does payoff. Entering the scene as a rapper and dancer at the early age of 8, realizing his confidence, was the start of building a foundation that fueled the drive and determination to be all that he wanted to be. Kendrick from the Bounce TV hit series Saints and Sinners, best known as Tray Chaney is knocking down doors in the entertainment industry.

 

Chaney is a multitalented artist and entertainer native of Maryland with a diversified portfolio including acting, rap artist, philanthropist, motivational speaker, educator, and author of an inspirational autobiography entitled The Truth You Can’t be Tray. He made his first film appearance in 2003 with a role in Head of State starring world renown comedians Chris Rock and Bernie Mac. The acting bug intensified which led to following roles in The Salon co-starring Vivica A. Fox and Streets co-starring rapper/actor Meek Mill. Chaney later had the opportunity to star in rap artist Bow Wow's chart-topping video “My Baby” featuring the multi-platinum R&B group Jagged Edge.

 

His talent, making breakthroughs, led to landing a role on one of the hottest HBO Original series as “Poot” on The Wire. In 2013, he starred in and produced a movie love story 6 Hearts 1 beat. Chaney's latest creative venture entails returning to the world of music as a writer, producer, and rapper. His original song “Self Made Star” is featured in the film Jamesy Boy, which he also stars in alongside Ving Rhames, James Woods

A family man with the support of his lovely wife celebrating over 14 years of marriage and his two children, Chaney continues to make his mark eluding positivity and love.

 

Chaney is the founder of the Dedicated Fathers Award initiative and ceremony dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of fatherhood. He has produced a web series entitled Dedicated Fathers, available for viewing on YouTube with features in publications of MSNBC, ESSENCE, BET, BOSSIP & ALLHIPHOP. To follow he has a line of merchandise for men and women available on his website.

 

Recently moving to Atlanta, Georgia, Chaney has been busy filming a celebrated run from its origination, the fourth season of Bounce TV’s Saints and Sinner starring alongside the beautiful Vanessa Bell-Calloway and the talented Clifton Powell. In his spare time, he uses every minute to hone his talents as he continues to innovate, educate, and entertain.

 

A project that he holds close to his heart is the development of his educational program, The Curriculum. He designed and developed this project to create a platform in Hip Hop music for our youth, touching on key points in life and education that they could learn from. He has produced a series of videos that speak of bullying, the importance of staying in school, HIV/AIDS, the importance of reading, and more, check them out on YouTube. There is just no end to what this multi-talented artist is working on. When it is said that the sky is the limit, it appears that Tray Chaney has his wings and will continue to soar.
